The International Textile Alliance (ITA) will lead a virtual roundtable discussion on the effects of COVID-19 on the home furnishings industry, and how doing business will change as the industry begins to reopen. The effects of COVID-19 on the home furnishings business have been far and wide – closing of retail stores, manufacturing plant closures, cancelation of industry shows – to name a few. Even as we see signs of the industry reopening, we will not be going back to business as usual anytime soon. Join ITA for an interactive discussion on what we can expect in “the new normal” from the perspectives of a furniture retailer, upholstery manufacturer, textile manufacturer and a textile converter. The discussion will be moderated by textile industry veteran Jack Eger, Senior Vice President of Crypton Home Fabrics. Panelists will include Jeff Harris of Furnitureland South, George Jordan of The MT Company, Kathryn Richardson of Libeco, Patrick Shelton of Valdese Weavers, and Greg Thomases of Swavelle Mill Creek.
