Inaugural Date for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Workshop Series Announced
DATE ANNOUNCED FOR VIRTUAL DEI WORKSHOPS
HIGH POINT, N.C. –– The International Textile Alliance (ITA) is committed to cultivating and promoting diversity within the industry. ITA is pleased to announce the launch of the Inclusive Practices Series, hosted by the CEO of Social Designs, Jada Monica Drew. Over the next few months, this virtual four-part series will cover actionable ways in which people can foster a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Studies show that organizations with inclusive cultures are three times more likely to be high performing, six times more likely to be innovative, and eight times more likely to have overall better business outcomes.
The first workshop in the DEI Series, “What is DEI? Aligning & Examining Language in Action”, will be presented via Zoom on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm. The discussion will revolve around the subjects of diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and racial justice, moving into an analysis of what these terms look and feel like in action on a daily basis in the workplace. The participation fee for ITA members and sponsoring companies is $50 and $100 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased at https://shopita.org/.
This series is sponsored by Richloom, Crypton Fabric, Skyline Furniture, and STI.
