ITA Announces Addition of Two New Board Members
Bill Herren and Rick Lovegrove join International Textile Alliance Board of Directors
September 1, 2022, HIGH POINT, N.C. – The International Textile Alliance (ITA) has added two industry veterans to its Board of Directors: Bill Herren and Rick Lovegrove. Herren, corporate and sales representative for Woodard Furniture and Lovegrove, president of upholstery at Four Hands, are now part of the non-profit organization’s governing body.
Herren and Lovegrove join the current board of directors which includes ITA President Kathryn Richardson of Libeco, ITA Vice President David Lappert of Kravet, Treasurer Mendy Kearns of Hamilton Fabric, Elise Gabrielson of Crypton, Anderson Gibbons of STI, Steven Gittelson of Morgan Fabrics, Patrick Shelton of Valdese Weavers, and Andy Pacuk of Milliken.
“We are pleased to announce the addition of two outstanding industry professionals to our board,” said Kathryn Richardson, president of ITA’s board of directors and vice president of sales for Libeco. “ITA relies on its board members to help move its mission and programs forward and we are certain to benefit from the industry knowledge and experience Bill Herren and Rick Lovegrove will add to our team.”
A veteran of the outdoor industry, Bill Herren is corporate and sales representative for Woodard Furniture and its sister company Mallin. He began his career in the early 1980s when he moved to south Florida from Chicago. Originally with Whitecraft (purchased by Woodard) he has worked in Charleston and Dallas and now resides in Phoenix. Passionate about textiles, he enjoys all aspects of fabric buying including selecting fabrics for Woodard/ Mallin as well as advising dealers on their fabric selections.
President of upholstery for Austin-based Four Hands, Rick Lovegrove brings 25 years of domestic and international textile and manufacturing expertise to the ITA board. Since joining the Four Hands team in 2014, Lovegrove built a best-in class upholstery team and established Four Hands program as a trendsetter for the biggest retail brands and industry at large. His unique home furnishings experience and insights as a buyer make him a valuable addition to the ITA board of directors.
