Industry Tours

For many years, the ITA hosted an industry tour for students from schools across the country. The three-day tour offered them an inside look at the textile industry from concept to consumer through visits to textile mills, design studios, upholstery manufacturers and printing facilities.

“Fabric: From Concept to Consumer” focused on the process of fabric creation, production, and use within the home furnishings industry. The tour gave participants the opportunity to see areas of design, styling, and product development. The tour also included a visit to weaving, printing, and finishing operations.
